Help I've just discovered that notes I've been entering on family cards for one person have been duplicated on other unconnected cards. If I remove them they are removed from the original too. It's as if certain names are somehow linked together It's also doing it on my copies so I'm assuming it's either something wrong with the programme or something I've done. I just can't work out how to stop it doing this. My only alternative would be to start with a new tree but I have nearly 500 names and it would take ages -also I'm worried about it doing it again. I'm even considering buying a new programme. Any one out there any ideas before I loose it! Maggie

Hi, If I were you I would download Personal Ancestry File from Family Search Internet (PAF). This is a Mormon program and is far better than Easy Family Tree. Full instructions are on the site. You could then transfer all of your details by gedcom. This is a very useful program for storing your details and you can open as many family name files as you wish. Any problems, please shout. Hi, after a lot of procrastination, I have just bought the Family Tree 2005 program. It cost about £30 including shipping from ancestry.com. It seems really easy to use and brings up connections, relationships etc. You can add photos really easily and also publish your family tree on the internet for other researchers to trawl.
