Please help cannot spell a welsh name ??????

Could any body help i have a name (Rodda) the way i would say it would that be Rohadda in welsh ??????????? any ideas will help . i have had difficulty looking it up because i am unsure of the spelling . thank you diana

Hi I'm not a Welsh-speaker but did once have ambitions with respect to one, so started to try to learn a bit about the language. (Besides, languages interest me!). I reckon that if it sounds like Rodda in English then it must be something like Rhodr in Welsh. I just tried putting that into Google and came up with a number of sites where that appears to be a first name! -spelt just as I suggested. Christine

I've had a look on a couple of Welsh male name sites, but there's nothing coming up. It may be a first or surname used as a second name. Welsh male names I know of with R are Rhys Rhodri Rhisiart Rhydian nell

Thanks for your ideas my husbands welsh and to his shame he doest know (lol)Shame On Him .His mother asked me to look up her great grand father and she did not know how it was spelt either . Thanks every one i will try different ways and see if it gets me any where . diana

Dont know if Ive missed the point here, but I know Rodda as a Cornish name - could it be a mother's maiden name?

the spelling we use in north wales is rhodda could this be the one
