Mum has given me a letter received from William Pince Publishers stating that they can supply a Family Chronicle of our family name for a price. Naturally I was a little dubious. After googling I found endless warnings that it is a scam.

Carol, Was this just sent in the post or was it requested? I would be dubious both ways, just wondering if it is a circular or not. I would be very careful of anything like that. I have never heard of these people, myself hopefully someone else has. Be careful, Pat x

I have just updated this, as I have found out that it is a scam. It is among many scams emanating from the same address and under investigation by Trading Standards. So, if you get one, file it appropriately, in the bin.

My mum had a letter last week telling her that for a price they could tell her all she needed to no about our ancesters. She was going to do this thinking it would help me withmy reaserch but thankfuly I sure the letter before she parted with any money.

Hi, Yeah my dad got one of these a few weeks ago. I told him to bin it as I'd read previous threads about it been a scam. Nicky
