If you just want to print the selected text you should not need to paste to another program, just click print and the in the box click "selection" and it will leave off all the graphics. Bob

Hi If you've got as far as: highlighting the text you want and copying what you've highlighted (Edit menu...Copy) then all you need to do is to click on the Word document (or whatever) where you want the copied stuff to appear and then go to that software's Edit menu and select "Paste". There are usually shortcut-keystrokes for these basic activities. If so, they are usually shown against the name of the activityin the menu. e.g. Copy usually = Control + C (or Apple/command + C, as always, on a Mac) Paste usually = Control + V [Cut usually = Control + X. That removes the stuff from the original - if you have the ability/access to do so.] I remember that as "C for copy" "V looks like a down-arrow...dropping the material into your doc" and "X looks like scissors" Christine - I wasn't as quick off the mark as Pat, but I'll leave the message because sometimes different folks find different turns of phrase easier to follow.

Margaret and Rosemary. To copy and paste from the Message Board into a Word document ..................... Open new Word document (leave open) then - Go to GENESREUNITED site and call up Message Board. HIGHLIGHT (select) the text you want to keep. Go to the Menu bar at the very top of GR page - under the EDIT menu click 'COPY'. Minimise GR page and return to your Word document underneath. Go to the MENU bar at the top of the Word doc. and click on EDIT and then 'PASTE' and all your selected text is now in Word! Good luck - Pat

I have tried and never had any success. It is a pity as some of the info is worth filing for reference. Rose

Hi Christine Maybe your computer problems are to blame - I have just clicked 'Print' on the toolbar whilst reading this thread and it has printed out with no problem. Hopefully when your PC is fixed it will work for you. Sam

I'm not sure. It is likely would get a whole load of these graphics and very little text for the amount of ink your printer would use. I highlight the text and copy it into MS Word and print from there. This also means you can save it for later. Probably a better long term option. Jonathan

This is most probably the most stupid question ever but can you print from the message boards - I must admit to having computer problems at the moment (sorted tomorrow I hope and without losing anything - fingers crossed). I have opened a message and clicked on print on tool bar - nothing - help would be appreciated Christine
