Hi Sophie, I wanted an inquest report but the office in question said they had been destroyed, so I went for the local paper of the time 1895 and the inquest was very well reported gave me all the information I wanted to know and more. Just a thought hope you have some luck Margaret |

Ask the local record office who should hold them if they have survived. Details of inquests were often published in the local papers too. |

I think they were published in local newspaper reports so check your local records office or main library for advice.... Kim |

Hi It's the kind of thing that could turn up on Documents Online. Have you tried there yet? Otherwise, I hope someone else will come up with a more formal approach - address etc. good luck Christine |

Does anyone know how/if you can obtain copies of inquests reports? I have the date/details but don't know who to write to. I assume that they are restricted for a certain number of years like the census details, but the one I want was done in 1892 so I should be OK. Any suggestions? Sophie |
