Reading a recent thread, it was remarked that there's a great archive images site for Medway records - so I had a look: it really is a goodie. Like a similar project in Handsworth, W Midlands (also a goodie - it includes Baptism Register images from the latish 19th century), it's been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. I thought it would be worth googling with "Heritage Lottery Fund" "archives" and "images". So far I've come up with this one as new to me. It's very much work-in-progress at this stage, but there is a single early 18th century marriage register page in the virtual tour "Religion", and there are photos (some with names) of choristers and clergy. In the future there should be info about their various properties around the country. http://www.kings.cam.ac.uk/library/archives/college/hlfproject/ If I find any more goodies, I'll try to remember to update this into a list. Hi It's part of this (very interesting - and possibly otherwise useful) site: http://www.digitalhandsworth.org.uk/ Choose: Gallery Image Gallery The Baptismal Register comes up top right of the options When you click on the picture of the Register you get three mini-registers to choose from: 1870s, 1880s & 1890s - click on the image for the set of years you want. Then, on the new page, you need to click on the link below the big image, which says: To open this Gallery click here. There's a full set for 1870s, 1880-1885, & 1890-1894. Whether the rest will appear eventually, I don't know. I found it because some of my paternal family lived there in the late 19th & early 20th centuries and I was googling for info. Christine
