Jan Result! how satisfying! Sometimes the cert doesn't tell you anything - or if it does have info, its too illegible to be helpful. nell

I received my gt grandfather's death certificate this morning. I hadn't identified him for certain in the 1901, because the most likely candidate was shown as Army Pensioner, and mine worked for the Royal Arsenal. However, his address at time of death (1904) is the same as the Army Pensioner in 1901, so that has proved that point. His death informant was his daughter Emily (after whom my mother was named), and I recognised her address as being the gloomy old house my mother used to take me to in the 1950s, to visit Emily's widower and daughter. All in all, £7 well spent. Jan
