Hi Rita, I don't know how old your photographs are but this site is useful for tracing Victrian photographers. Hope it's helpful http://www.users.waitrose.*com/~rodliffe/data.html Christine

Rita Sometimes photographers can be traced by looking in old local directories. What happens when they finish? I don't know, but I would guess everything disappears. It is possible if they were a well-established firm, that their records might be in a record office. If you are hoping to identify your relatives by contacting the original photo company, I would guess that is a slim chance, but good luck! How do you know, if you can't identify them that they are relatives, as opposed to family friends? nell

As with some families we've got photo's of family we've never seen or heard of. Anyone know of, or know how to trace etc. "LAURENCE STUDIOS" originally they had several branches throughout England. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THESE COMPANIES FINISH? THANKS DEBORAH
