Thanks for the replies that's helped to decide the way to go and I think it better be taxi. I'm hoping to visit Charles St and Canal St in particular so fingers crossed their not spread out too much, poor old feet cant take it these days. They dont look far from Kings St on the map but Kings St seems to go on for ever!

Janet, The only time I've parked in Aberdeen I was staying there and was able to use the hotel car park. Parking is a nightmare - there are meters on all the side streets and they are expensive. A friend of mine lives there and doesn't have a car for that reason! I think if it were me I would get a bus in - a taxi from Dyce is around £12. Have a lovely time - it's a wonderful city. Jill

Can anyone give me tips for parking in Aberdeen to get to the Aberdeen History Society in King St. We're staying at the airport travel lodge for 2 nights is it better to get a bus into town or even a taxi?. I have no knowledge of Aberdeen apart from a map, so anything that would be usefull is welcome.
