I have someone as a Laperdary Glass Cutter who then became a Pen Grindy. I have found Lapidary as engraving of precious stones, does anyone know what a Pen Grindy is? someone who grinds pens?? Thanks Di |

Is this from original records, or do I detect the fell hand of Miss Transcription? Brenda |

A pen grinder ground um .... pens .... part of the pen nib making industry, common in the Birmingham area. I could imagine that the skills for cutting glass would tranfer easily to the latter occupation. |
