Anybody have any idea what a Deavenger is? Found it listed as an occupation for one of my relatives on a census form. Lorraine |

Are you sure it doesnt say Scavenger? Sometimes the writing on the census makes it hard to read what is written Scavenger / Scaleraker 1) Street cleaner 2) Scavenger - also a child employed in a spinning mill to collect loose cotton lying about the floor or machinery Hope this helps Anna :-) |
