Most British immiigrants to Canada went via Halifax Nova Scotia-All arrivals between 1928 and 1971 went through Pier 21 at Halifax-they have a very good library and resource centre-they have photos of 90% of the ships which arrived during that period-in the first instance try HTTP://www.pier21.ca/ a personal E Mail to the librarian could lead to further information-if possible i also reccomend a personal visit. |

Hiya Carol, I dont know if you can access earlier records online,but here is a link for immigration records that you can search online from 1925-1936.I found a few of mine on here http://www(.)collectionscanada(.)ca/02/020118_e.html Theres also a link on that page to tell you how to access earlier or later records. theres also this site,but i dont know what else available on it,I found a couple of articales relating to my family on it http://www(.)genealogy(.)gc(.)ca/index_e.htm Sorry if its not much help Anna :-) |

Some of my ancestors went to Canada in the early 1900s possibly 1912. How can I find out which ships went to Canada in that year. I have tried googling, but all I get is the Titanic, surely there were others that didnt sink |
