Hi, I have been trying to find where my gran, Winifred Spicer is buried. She died in july quarter of 1948, registerd to Hendon, I contacted the crematorium and they have no record of her there. Is there any where I can look up this info? I have the same problem with William Alfred Spicer who died in Aintree Hospital in feb 1969, where can they be??? Thanks Kate

Have you tried the records office board Put a request for a lookup on the new National Burial Index (NBI) I think there is someone on there offering lookups. I will try and find it and bring it to the top for you

If you contact the local authority where she lived and died and they have all the burial records archived in big books. You can then search these registers for the place of burial. Some authorities like you to book before going, or if you gibe them the details they will do it for you. I did this very recebtly for my great grandparents grave from 1935 and found it easily. The register details who are in the grave, how many feet down each person is, who is the owner of the grave and how many it is for Hope this is of some help

Hi Kate, I have looked on the NBI 2nd edition. I am afraid neither of them is on it. Carole
