Jonathan is right - add the partner, then the child. You will then be asked to confirm which partner is the parent. Carole

Lisa If I've understood you correctly, I think you first add the partner to the person they were involved with. Then open them as the person you are looking at and add a child to them. Jonathan

please help how do i add a child to my family tree if they have a different mother or father to the 'maternal line'
