I think it is easier to change the details of each person. If you go into 'edit relative's details' you can change the details so that each person becomes the other one. Delete the Isabella part of the name from that Emma and give it to the other one. Then change their birth dates etc if necessary. Anne

Thanks for the suggestions, I have not yet learned how to do a gedcom (a bit scared in case I do something daft!!) it looks like I will have to try both methods, however, as there are lots of children involved, will now have to delete each one, as suggested!!! what a task I`ve set myself, I am a right idiot!!! Will have to wait until Friday now (will be out tomorrow have a hospital appt) so can see myself tiddling away all day Friday Thanks again for help

Rather than delete, can you change the details? I dont know how it works on here, I just add and amend on my own computer programme then upload gedcoms.

Hi, I`ve mada bit of a "cock up" I have mixed two ancestors up, one is Emma Isabella, the other is Emma, unfortunately I have given Emma Isabella`s husband to the second Emma, but when I try to delete, cannot, when I click on delete, I`m told that I can`t !! what do I do now??? how can I delete both and start again with the correct details, or should I just leave them there & start two new ones!! Woe is me, hair fast getting pulled out
