I used to work in a bargain book shop and we quite often had the Family tree books for sale.

Hi Lucia I was looking for the very same thing a few months ago, and someone on here recommended a really good one. It's the Reader's Digest 'My Family Tree' and I managed to order one from Amazon (around £10 I think). My sister-in-law never knew her grandparents and knowing that I had access to websites etc, she asked for my help. I found quite a bit of info and I have filled in lots of the book; it's for her birthday tomorrow, so I hope she likes it! Mandy :)

I have one unused and probably never likely to. I prefer to make my own books. I was thinking of listing it on ebay

Lucia I too have been looking. There are some on Amazon. I also got one (unused) in a charity shop recently. But they tend to have rigid details - I have one I am using for rough notes and info, but it doesn't have enough space for some details, and then pages and pages about religious services when I am from a line of agnostics/atheists. So I have decided I will buy a blank hardback book with lines in it and do my own filling in so there will be enough space. After all some of my relatives have over 10 children and others have none! There's a reasonable range of such books with a variety of cover designs in most stationery shops. nell

Is there anywhere I can buy a blank family history book, where I can record details of my family tree? I would like to send one to my grandmother for Christmas. Lucia
