Just in case you haven't come across it - there is the GROS site - ScotlandsPeople - which has all sorts of records online, searchable, and you can download the images of actual primary documents because Scottish law is different from the law in England & Wales. There is a fee, but I paid my £6 for 48 hours and got three birth records I was after and for which I should have had to pay £21 had they been English. I still have some credit o/s which will be reactivated if ever I go back to the site and pay some more. They have parish records on the site but don't know how complete their parish records are.
