Christine Sorry, I've only just found your message. All Quiet on the Home Front: an oral history of life in Britain during the First World War - by Richard Van Emden & Steve Humphries, published by Headline, price £7.99 - www*.madaboutbooks*.com - be warned its very sad! The house history book is Home: the story of everyone who ever lived in our house, by Julie Myerson which came out in hardbackthis year (my copy is a present!) but I think it will appear in paperback soon. Publisher is Flamingo - www*.harpercollins*.co*.uk. I've also read recently Family Secrets by Derek Malcolm, who discovered that his father had been tried for murder years before he was born, and that in fact his father wasn't his father at all! cheers, Nell

The one you are thinking of was serialised on Radio four about three months ago. It's the true story of a woman who traced all the occupants of her house. Unfortunatly, I can't remember what it was called but if no one else can provide an answer, try e-mailing them from the BBC website. Good luck Janet

All Quiet on the home front, looks a good book, but looking on Amazon, there appears to be two, was wondering whether to get both!.. Also, there was one mentioned here (I,think by Maz not sure), about the history of a house and it's owners!.. any ideas..
