Hi James, This is what i've found. 1851 INDEX Ann Bowie , Aged 85 , born Deskford [book 11, page 9] Ann Bowie , Aged 14 , born Rathven [book 5 page 16] Alexander Bowie , Aged 40 , born Rathven [book 12 page 13] Joseph Bowie , Aged 26 , born Rathven [book 5 page 6] Cheers,Carole.

Hi. I know you posted this message a while ago, but if you are still around and able to look up rathven in banffshire could check the following for me please. Annie Bowie nee Smith Ianstown maybe reidhaven street. Alexander Bowie. Joseph Bowie. Many thanks.

The index i have is for Rathven in Banffshire not all of Banffshire. No George McHattie listed. 3 Alexander Benzie [not Benzies] 1/ aged 20, born Deskford 2/ aged 26 , born Rathven 3/ aged 5 , born Rathven. No surname Burr listed. No Jane Duff. No Alexander Findlay. Cheers,Carole

Hi everyone , I have the Index to Surnames in 1851 Census for Rathven in Banffshire,Scotland. If anybody wants a look-up ..... the information it gives you is: Surname , Christian name , Age [in 1851 don't forget] Birth Place , Enumeration Book and Page Number. Cheers,Carole.
