My Greatgrandfather Ernest Archer was born c1886 in the Workhouse Louth Lincolnshire,according to the 1891 census he was five,and ws born in the workhouse.l have hit a brickwall trying to find who his parents were.Any help would be very kind. |

Bernard I can't see his birth on FreeBMD or Ancestry civ reg. As he was born in the workhouse, it is quite possible that he was illegitimate. I think you will need to go through the GRO indexes to find his birth cert which will certainly give you his mother's name at least. nell |
