I think it might be worth having a go. I know who Im after and could probably do it in one go. You get five families for your 5 pound so I will try.

I have done it three times now and I saved up a list of all the people I thought I wanted to do them in a batch. If you suspend rather than log off you can get that one you forgot, within the 48 hours! I think it is MUCH better to get the actual image rather than the transcription. That way YOU can decide what it says! Also, like me, you might hit lucky and find more than one family on a page - two for the price of one!!! Anne

Thanks for the info. Im amazed you have to research 48 hours in one go, what a con. Its a good job other sites arnt like it.

I think the golden rule (unless you have an overwhelming urge to spend some money) is DON'T! In the first instance, ask here to find what information can be gained for nothing. If people are unable to find exactly what you want, THEN is the time to part with your cash.

I haven't been on there lately, but think it is a straight 48 hours. You are best getting all your searches done and making a list of the images you want in one go. Just put £5 on, you can access the images as many times as you want in the 48 hours though, also if you don't get everything straightaway, don't forget to suspend the session, or you won't get back on again. What counties were you looking for as some are on Ancestry. Diane

Going to try 1901 online for the first time. Im probably asking the obvious but I assume the 48 hour session can be done over a number of days/weeks, not 48 continuous hours? and the census image charged at 75p a time will be better, can you print this out? I have found people Im after on the free searches.
