All the hard work had been done by the wife of my 2nd cousin once removed. She sent me lots of info and although I didnt have much to send in return, she was happy with the little I did send.

Wow, well done Carol! I have made contact with a few cousins myself, but our common ancestor is my great-grandfather, so that's only 150 years ago. It is a great feeling though, isn't it? Carole

So pleased for you. There is something special about finding others who share our ancestry. Probably just as well we can't contact all our 10th cousins etc though - just think of the christmas card bill :-) Judith

She is in the USA and is my 11th great grandfathers brothers 10th great granddaughter, I think. This goes back to 1560
