Regent's Canal, London, where is St. Mark's Bridge

There are several sites featuring Regents Canal. St Marks Bridge Gate is where the canal runs to the north of Regents Park. There is a floating Chinese Restaurant near by. You can find some photo's of this on www(.)milesfaster(.)uk/gallery/regents~park/regents~canal(.)htm Do a search for Regents Canal and there are some interesting sites giving the history of the canal. I will try to find them and post them later Kathleen www(.)canalmuseum(.)org(.)uk/history/regents(.)htm If you are interested in the history of the canal and its use over the years the above site has lots of information - though it does not mention any of the bridges. |

I personally went down to London to look around in some areas of Regent's Canal where the river streams around in circle near the River Thames. On my ancestor's death certificate, it says he was working on the barge (boat) and got drowned in the water of Regent's Canal near St. Mark's Bridge. I tried looking up for St. Mark's Bridge but no where was it found on the map or internet. Can anyone help please? My ancestor's home was in Limehouse next to the river Regent's Canal. Caz |
