is picadilly in westminster

hi there, i am trying to find an address for St James, Westminster. i have tried google but am not sure i am getting the correct one? there is a listing for a St James Picadilly but is Picadilly in Westminster. i thought not but my knowledge of LOndon is not great. i need the church that was there in the early 1800s. Thanks for your help ALison

These were on Genuki Chuches in Westminster. Emmanuel Evangelical Church Holy Apostles Catholic Church Ichthus Pimlico Methodist Central Hall Metropolitan Cathedral of the Most Precious Blood Salvation Army St George Hanover Square Church St James the Less St James, Piccadilly St Saviour St Stephen Westminster Abbey Westminster Cathedral Westminster Chapel

thanks for that list - those are the names i came up with too but my question still remains - Is Picadilly in Westminster? Thanks ALison

Hi Alison, yes Piccadilly is in the Borough of Westminster. Belle.

I'm not sure that this is the same church. There is also a St James the Less in Pimlico, which is part of Westminster. Try http://www.westminster.gov.uk/libraries/archives/guides.cfm

thanks for your replies. i think that i am going to have to go and visit the london archives in a few weeks so i will see if they can shed some light on which st james it could be. ALison
