Member Since: July 2004 Posts: 0 Send Message	I am trying to get a copy of a marriage cert for Frederick William FOOTE and Elizabeth PAINTER. The marriage took place in Devon, according to PRO Vol 5b, page 623 in the Dec 1/4 of 1894. Parish of E. Stonehouse. When I try to order a copy from GRO, they want a GRO number which I can get if I visit London. I live in Australia so that poses something of a problem. Anyone got any bright ideas? Any offerings will be thankfully recieved and faithfully applied. Russell

Member Since: June 2003 Posts: 1,431 Send Message	The GRO index no is the volume number and page number,together with the year and the quarter so Dec quarter 1894,vol no 5b page 623 District East Stonehouse is all you need,along with the name of the person.
