Sylvia, A lot of states have thier own genealogy web-sites...look on Cyndi's List for Washington. Sometimes there are extracts for naturalization records or immigration. Good luck.

Does anyone know of any "port of entry" links apart from the obvious Ellis Island site? There must have been other ports they landed. I know my Florence Newton went to America (Washington state) around 1900-1905 but can't find her. She married about 1906 I presume in Spokane, Washington as all her children were born there She was born in Northumberland in 1877 many thanks, Sylvia
