Hi One of the new threads (haven't checked to see I'm not telling the person who put up the thread!) has just put up this link which could be very relevant to you: http://cityark.medway.gov.uk/ I'm trying to find the thread which was looking for info about a marriage in Gravesend and ended up as a discussion about the Peninsular War - 'cos this would be relevant for those folks too! Abraham was married in Sydney Australia. Are these records from a census or birth records?? If it's from a census he might have already left England??? Anyone know where the records are from? thanks

Maybe one of the names has been mis-transcribed.

There are some on the LDS site(Familysearch.org) 1. JAMES ANGES WALFORT - International Genealogical Index Gender: Male Christening: 24 DEC 1822 Saint George, Gravesend, Kent, England 2. CHRISTIANA ISABELLA WALFORD - International Genealogical Index Gender: Female Christening: 29 JAN 1832 Saint George, Gravesend, Kent, England 3. ANN CATHARINE WALFORD - International Genealogical Index Gender: Female Christening: 17 JUL 1825 Saint George, Gravesend, Kent, England . Look one of them up, then when you find one click on Batch Number, It will bring up all on that batch. Hope this gives you a start. Keren

Have you tried the LDS website (familysearch.org)? You can put in the parents names and see if there are any matches for baptism records. Otherwise, try some of the pay-per-view sites for the 1851 census for the parents & see if they have any children still living with them. Good luck, Carole

HI My ancestor, Abraham George Walford was born in Gravesend Kent in 1824. His parents were John & Christiana (Marcarla). How can I find out if Abraham had any siblings? Is it possible? Ancestry's 1871 census doesn't cover Kent, & I don't know where else to look. thanks Karen
