Hi Christine and Heather, Thanks for that information,I was wondering what I was doing wrong, it did occur to me that it could be under their maiden name , but I was hoping they would be linked automatically, so maybe I will try asking the person concerned and see if they are under their maiden name in 'my contacts' list. Thanks once again for your input, if I have no luck then I will contact GR. Best Wishes Sheila

Hi Sheila I'm not sure about this but I think the messages come through in the maiden name and the contacts show the married name of the lady who contacts you. Heather

Hi I thought at first that you'd somehow missed the "your contacts" tab in the messages box, but when I look in mine, I can see that not all the names in my in-tray appear in my contacts and at least one of my contacts isn't readily identifiable in my in or out trays! Looks like a glitch to me. Might be worth trying to report to GR support. Christine

Hi Anne, Thanks for that, this is what I would normally do, but for some reason I have messages in my in box and these peoples details are not showing in 'my contact's ' box as well, so I am unable to let them view my tree. Am I missing something do they have to allow me access to theirs first? Thanks once again. Sheila

Go to the 'your contacts' page (see left) and there will be a list of all your contacts. Next to each name it will say 'request' and 'allow'. You need to click on 'allow' to allow your contact to see your tree. The 'allow' will then change to 'remove' which you can click if you no longer want her to see it. Hope I've explained it clearly - I know what I mean! Anne

Hi, Could someone please help me with this query, a fellow member has asked to view my tree, normally once this persons name appears in the 'your contacts' section of your board you can grant this. But although she has e-mailed me a few times, and I have replied to her, the e-mails still remain in the in-box section of my file, where there is no facility to grant access to my tree. Has anyone else had this problem and can they tell me how i can grant her access. Thanks a lot for your help. Sheila
