I am trying to import my PAF 5 tree HELP !!!!!!!!!

Had similar problem - it doesn't like ANSI characters but accepted ANSEL instantly

Hi I had problems when putting my tree on from PAF5 and did a couple of things and it went on. On my PAF5 I've got my kids on so I took them off so that I was the first person on the tree (like I am on GR). I then had to change Char Set - don't panic, i'll explain! When you choose the EXPORT option from FILE on paf you have to choose what to EXPORT TO. At the end of the list is OTHER GEDCOM 5.5. Select this and then make sure the Char Set is UTF-8. Mine was set to ANSI and GR didn't like this format. Try this and then let me know if it works. Then go on GR and try importing again. Joanne

I have my family tree on the family search Personal ancestor file 5. I have created a GEDCOM file and tryed to import it to Genes reunited but Internet Explorer tells me that I have a "Problem line in Gedcom: O TRLR which is an "invalid Gedcom file incorrect Header/Trailer records" does anyone know how I can solve this problem and submit my family Tree to GR? Any help so welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!! Diane
