Hello Under normal circumstances you'd look for married name, but this is fairly modern. Without wishing to cause offence there are other possibilities... Would she have had any incentive not to use that name towards the end of her life? Was she widowed and did she marry again? Was the married surname actually a courtesy one and not her legal one? Could someone have mis-transcribed it? perhaps someone else will have some better ideas - but good luck! Christine

Usually will be the married name, unless they were known as something else. Have you tried diffrent spellings? I 've some relatives that i cannot find deaths for but they must be dead or over 200! If you know where she died perhaps you could try the local register office? Kim

When looking up deaths do you look for married name or maiden name? Sorry if it seems a stupid question, but have been trying to find Mariah Blizzard married name, died c1971/4 can find no sign of her. Joanne.
