www.a2a.org.uk this is a free website which is fairly new. small charge only if you want certificates ect, most of the uk covered, give it a try. Ann from Sussex by the Sea. |

Wasn't aware you could get certificates from a2a. It is a search tool to find out where info is kept, so you can type in an ancestor's name (as I did) and find he was a witness in a court case and that the papers relating to it are in a Record Office in Aylesbury. Or that Norwich Record Office has a plan of Limpenhoe churchyard showing where people are buried. Any kind of official document in fact, and you can do a search so that it only gives you info about what is kept in a particular locality. It is only England though, not Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. nell |
