For your info, the site mentioned above is www.familysearch.org. You can look for the church mentioned in the wedding in case he was christened there too, by typing HUGH WALLIS into your search engine. This will lead you to a series of screens where you can look for churches geographically. Other than that, there may well be info in the parish chest, you'd need to contact (I think) the London Metropolitan Archives, who may do a search for you (but it will cost). LMA have parish registers on microfilm and other info such as rent books etc. They won't have the census, though, and the earliest one of use to you would probably be 1841 which I don't think is indexed! nell

Hi Robyn, I don't have any experience of researching the London area, but you could look for him and his wife in censuses....put a message on the records office board for someone to look in any 1851 census they have . Do you know where they settled and had children? Good hunting Joan

I am trying to find the parents of Thomas Heaton born c1800. The only positive thing I know is that he married Mary Ann Loomes in St. Pancras Church London in 1828. I have the transcript of the marriage, but no parents names are mentioned. How can I find any more information. Robyn Burke Australia
