Yet another deleting problem!

I've read all the advice about deleting relations and GC won't respond to my e-mails. I've only got two people on my tree at the moment - my father and me (both Roberts). I now cannot delete my father so I can upload my newest tree. Each time I try to delete him through the immediate family page it tells me I can't delete the owner of the tree and then returns me to me. I've tried deleting the whole tree on the import/export page - it still leaves both of us. I've tried changing his name on the edit page so we aren't both Roberts - nothing seems to work. Anyone come across this problem. It seems deleting is a big problem anyway but with only me and one other relation I thought it would be easier!!!! Any advice gratefully received. Robert

I should delete your whole tree robert, click on import/export tree then start again as you only have two on it. jenny x

Thanks for the two pieces of advice so far. 1) deleting the whole tree via the import/export page doesn't cure the problem. 2) using the "build your tree" section only shows me in grey and doesn't show my father. He seems to be a separate entity on the site and although he is showing up in "your relations" he doesn't seem to be linked to me. I am concerned that when I press delete on the "immediate family" page I get the error message "cannot delete owner of tree". This implies the system considers us both as owners.

try changing your dads name to fred simpson and yours to david and delete the latter as the son on edit or change your name on your details!. jenny x

Thanks for all the advice - Alas nothing works! I'll have to start emailing support regularly until they get around to replying to me - two days pah! Thanks again. Robert

Oh Robert I'm glad its not only me, Ive inserted a partner of mine and his child and now it looks like Im his mother too. All the deleting Ive tried doesn't work and no emails come back to me either. Ive tried importing exporting tree and that doesn't work. If you do ever find out I'd be interested. Please, Please, Please let me know. Jakki

jacqueline delete the child then add the child to your partner or failing that add the childs mother and add the child to her. jenny x

andrea I would say delete the kids, add another partner to your ggg.grandmother and add them back as his children for now. jenny x
