does anyone know how i find out about canal boat registration. i know certain names of boats, but don't know if there is an official list that i can check them against. in the 1930's they brought out the canal boat inspections, but i need to go further back. i recently visited the museum at stoke bruerne, but didn't find anything. i'm trying to find out when my g..grandfather would have started on the boats. i have a rough idea, from the censuses, but any input would be appreciated. thanks, diane. |
