Can anyone tell me where I can find births, marriages and deaths for the Island apart from 1837 online.Have been trying to get a reply from the Island for two years. Letters and emails unanswered or people initially very interested then I never hear from them again. I know certificates etc. are or were on show in Museum there. Will I have to actually go there!!! After trying for two years and getting no where I again wrote to the Newspaper on the Island who were very helpful passing my story onto the Heritage Society that was four months ago and not one reply back . Help!!

Hi, Some have been filmed by the LDS. I know this because when I first started using my local LDS there was a lady there going through some records from there. Gwynne

There is a Ascension Island group on Yahoo but it does not look very active. I am sure that I came across a message board / forum about Ascension Island somewhere but can't see it. There is this site on St Helena (and Ascension) Family History http://website.lineone.*net/~sthelena/familyhistory.htm Martin
