I am looking for a David Dodds who died in London sometime after 1953, he moved to London to live with his daughter Ella after his wife died. He was originally from Scotland, his daughter was married to a Fred Eve. Any ideas anyone?

His birth, marriage and death will all be in the GRO registers. Have you tried looking for him on the 1901 census? That would give his place of birth and age so you could work out when and where he was born. It would also help when finding death records to see if age at death tallied. If born in Scotland you can find the cert on Scotlands People. nell
