All, I am using Europress family tree and don't seem to be able to get this uploaded. I really don't want to have to sit here and re-type 6-8 generations of 5 different surnames just so I can link to it and put some messages up on the board. Please can someone advise what is the best way to get round this situation. Thanks

I don't know that particular program, but most likely the file that is produced when you "save" will not be a gedcom file. You will probably find under the "File" menu in your program an option to "Export". This is probably how you make a gedcom. Most programs have something called "Help", thoughtfully included as an assistance to people who are not sure what to do, often accessed by pressing F1. If you search in there for Gedcom, I expect you will find an answer.

Unfortunately the issue is that it doesn't have an option to export as gedcom. I take it no-one else uses this system, oh well looks like one weekend when I'm bored I can retype everything.
