My panics over ! Melinda must be phsycic (is that how you spell it?) Just got up to check e mails and there she was ! Her computer had crashed so she couldn't get in touch. Her family are fine - what a relief it is ! Thank you all for being so helpful. Mary

I've tried all three sites Judy and got no luck - her names there clear as day but I can't find out any more without paying and when there are two or three to choose from it starts to mount up. There's also the confusion with numbers that follow the San Diego address - haven't a clue which ones relate to her address. Not sure if you can help at all but her name is Melinda Wade, husband Dale, born 1951. I'd be really grateful - I just need to everything is ok with her and her family. Mary

Thank you so much - I'll try the free ones first and see how I get on. I know she wouldn't have moved without letting me know. We've shared so much since we found each other. I'll let you know how I get on. Mary

Mary: If your relative has a publicly isted telephone number you can try one of the online telephone directories (both of these sites are free): www.switchboard(.)com or www.anywho(.)com If phone number is unlisted you can find the person you're looking for at: www.ussearh(.)com The initial name and state search are free but they charge a small fee - relatively cheap at $9.95 US dollars - for more information, such as telephone number and address. Judy PS - If they moved, try searching the directories leaving out the town....search engines search for the keywords you enter and if they've moved to another town within the state, you might miss finding them. **Remember to remove the ( ) from the addresses above**

From what she's told me seems like they still live in San Diego. I've made a point of getting the mailing addresses of other contacts abroad so at least now I don't lose them. This one is very special as she was as pleased to find me as I was her. I know her father was ill and fear something may have happened there but I know she'd have told me. I can only think there's been a computer problem and she's lost my details. Maybe someone out there can help. Mary

Did she give any clues in her emails? If you can narrow down the area, someone on here from that part of the world may be able to check local directories or electoral roll for you. If all you know is America, then I'm afraid you will just have to keep your fingers crossed that she gets back in touch. If she does, I suggest you ask her for her address pronto (and give her yours!) Carole

I was lucky enough earlier this year to locate relatives on my Mothers side in America and we've enjoyed swapping info and photos on a regular basis. I'm a bit concerned as I haven't heard from her since the beginning of July - it may be computer troubles or something and we don't have each others addresses other than e mail. Is there a way I can find out where she lives ? I don't want to lose touch now. Mary
