A message has just come through, all it said was "Please would you give me acces to view your tree. Thank You" No mention of a link, so I've asked who they are interested in? Is it a glitch on this site? I have no idea who this person is. Sam

Hi, I too, am getting similar messages from people I have not contacted. Also messages from people researching names that I haven't even got in my tree! I am getting very confused.... Julie

I think it is a glitch, it has only been happening since the uograde, and lots of people have been caught out by it. Most of them seem to have clicked on something quite innocently and ended up unwittingly asking for permission to view a tree.

Happened to me too. I just replied that I needed to know who they were looking for.

Not only have I had requests to view my tree, I've also had a couple thanking me for helping them with their research, and mentioning the family member I'd traced for them. It wasn't me! nell
