Thanks Pat I have found the "MyAncestry" section now, but it seems that it only appears on the (.)com site. As I usually use the (.)co(.)uk one, that was why I couldn't find it. It don't think I'll be using it, but it's nice to know where I can find it if I need to. Lesley

Lesley, If you can remember the names you typed in that Ancestry couldnt find you can get in that way, why not try that again???. Good Luck Pat x

Hi Lesley, many thanks! I still couldn't find it either but, like you, I always log in to co(.)uk! So I will try again with (.)com and see how I get on. Best wishes, Mandy :)

I have emailed Ancestry, but think I've discovered where I'm going wrong. It appears that when you login to the (.)com site, there is a tab on your home page that Pat described. Unfortunately, I always use the (.)co(.)uk one and it does not appear on there. Hope that helps any others who have not found it either!

Thanks for the tips everyone. I have come across it when I've done unsuccessful searches as well, but I still can't find "MyAncestry". There's nothing on the home page and I've tried all the help sections I can find but nothing. Guess I'll just have to ask Ancestry themselves and wait a fortnight to get an answer! Thanks anyway.

Its actually quite handy I have a couple of people listed. It searches any info on the name you saved on the database, they also will email you if any of the name turns up and you can save census images of people you think may be the right ones. I am using it more and more. By the way to save the image in my ancestry you have to have people saved on my ancestry in the first place. Ancestry normally asks do you want to use this facility when you type in a name and dont have much success finding it (just like some of my lot)thats as far as I remember how I got it, I have a tab on the top of my page with Family trees, message boards, learning center, shop, search records, home. When you are on the my ancestry page there is also an Orbituary Hunter you can use also, it seems handy too. If you cannot find it try help? button. Good Luck Pat x

Hi Lesley, It is for Ancestry to do look ups for you when you have searched on site and not got any answers. I can ask them to search for a name in 'My Ancestry' and when one comes up that they think matches, they will e-mail me. Hope that you can understand that explanation! Margaret

Hi Lesley, I was interested to see what 'My Ancestry' is, so I've just been across to look and I'm none the wiser!! I did exactly what you did - viewed a census image then clicked on 'save to my ancestry', and I can't find My Ancestry either! Sorry not to be much help, but at least you know that it's not just you. I will have a better look later on, but maybe we should email Ancestry with our query. Mandy :)

Calling all Ancestry users....when you view a census page, there is an option just above the image "Save to My Ancestry". Does anyone know if this works (didn't seem to for me) and how you get to "MyAncestry"? Can't seem to find the answer on the site so would appreciate any help or suggestions. Many thanks.
