There's a marriage for a Charlotte Cowle at Risbridge ref is 12/817 for Dec Qtr 1841. However it cant be to Samuel Rollerson as I've checked 1837 for him? Could he be second husband! Regards Tony

To find their marriage you may have to go through the GRO records (FreeBMD is not complete), starting with 1846 and working backwards. If you're lucky their ages will be on the marriage cert so you will know when they were born, which will be pre-1837 registration and therefore in parish records. I would also say anything found on LDS needs to be verified by finding the original records. The 1851 census will give you their places of birth. nell

The surname I am researching is Rollerson which until now has proved fairly straightforward as it is a rare surname. I have a birth cert for a 'male Rollerson' who I now know was called William. He was born on 22/2/1846 reg. in Haverhill, Risbridge. Counties of Suffolk and Essex. I have found his wife and family and two further descending generations however, his birth cert gives his parents details as Samuel Rollerson (Labourer) and mother Charlotte Rollerson formerly Cowle residence of informant Withersfield. Can anyone suggest how I might find when Samuel and Charlotte married or where I might find their birth details as I have tried Ancestry, Lds, freebmd and there is no record of them and without these details I am unable to link this part of the family to our tree. I think that they also had a daughter Mary Ann in 1848 (on LDS). I would really appriciate any suggestions. Thanking you in anticipation. Rosemary.
