An Olde Crone | Report | 24 Aug 2004 01:24 |
Timothy Holden born about 1700, Darwen Lancs - does anyone know anything about him? I have a birth date which does not appear in the Parish Registers, can anyone help? Update - thanks for your replies and help - unfortunately, this is the information I have already got and it does not tie up with any entry in the Blackburn Parish Register. I understand there were no baptisms recorded in Darwen before 1751 and that Blackburn Parish Church (i.e.the Cathedral) was the "place to go". Sadly, until I find this baptism, I dont feel that I can proceed with any certainty, either that this man@s myriad descendants are REALLY his descendants, or indeed, even that he ever existed. Which will be a big blow for the many Holdens who think they are descended from him! |
