Hi Lisa, I will have fun. Don't know how much I will find, but, of course, will tell you everything (plus pictures). Will try to swing by Albury. Spooky, just looked it up on the map, just south of Guildford, where I go every week!!!!!! Ian |

Hi KIM and GWYNETH: Thanks so much for remembering me!! :~) Ian and I found each other through GC when I first joined! I've been to the UK twice before, but that was long before I started researching, so I envy Ian so much for being able to walk where our ancestors once did! The majority of my information was handed down by an unknown ancestor (and confirmed with LDS records) but one never knows what one might find now, eh? Thank you very much for taking the time to write, people like you (and GEOFF, NELL, and ELAINE) are the reasons I enjoy GC/GR so much. Hi IAN: Have a WONDERFUL time! |

Yes, Lisa J and I are 4th cousins and it is Lisa that gave me the info. I want to see it for myself (not sure if Lisa has been there or got the info second hand?) and do some personal digging :) All answers are appreciated. Cheers Ian |

Can't remeber who but isn't there someone else on these boards from US looking for Vaus records, perhaps you could combine efforts if you put the name in your title for this mesage thread? Kim |

Ian, The records office is at Chichester. If you're in the area Horsham has a really interesting museum you can visit (probably the nearest to Shipley) Elaine (in sunny Southwater - near Shipley ) |

Most likely they will be at the Sussex records office - it's not a part of the country I'm familiar with. |

Hi, I am going to visit Shipley in Sussex this week, trying to find info on the Vaus family who lived there around 1720 . How do I go about finding the records? Are they held in the church? If not, where would that info be located Cheers Ian |
