Hi, Have you got Norton's Firewall running? I know some sites you have to turn it off before being able to access.

Hi Sophie, I also use xp on dial up, and have subscribed to Ancestry for nearly 2 yrs, without any problems. Perhaps you could try e-mailing the support desk. Debbie

Hi Sophie, Yesterday I read somewhere on this site, that you need to empty your cookies! other people had problems viewing parish records. It may be worth trying. Best Wishes,Maureen.

Hi I'm only on dial up and use windows xp and have had no problems viewing the census images on Ancestry (I'm using the free trial mentioned previously on these boards). Joanne

I have only just joined Ancestry and was expecting miracles if I am honest. However it is really really slow, and so far I havent been able to view any of the 1891 original census forms. I just get an error message saying unable to view. Am I doing something wrong or does everyone have these problems? My computer is windows XP and quite new but I am on dial up not braodband. Does this make a difference to the performance? Thanks Sophie
