What is the occupatiom 'Whitesmith'

Linda, I have a Whitesmith in mine found it first time the other day, now I have checked his son a few years later and he is one as well. Funny how I have never seen it before but now have TWO!!! Patricia has the correct meanings for the profession. Pat x |

Found this in Google... Whitesmith (n.) One who works in tinned or galvanized iron, or white iron; a tinsmith. (n.) A worker in iron who finishes or polishes the work, in distinction from one who forges it. Pat |

Hi everyone, I know what a Blacksmith is, but can anyone tell me what or is a Whitesmith? as this occupation has cropped up in my research. Thanks in advance, Lynn. |
