Orphaned in 1889. HENRY VENTHAM aged 8 EDWARD " aged 11 ALFRED " aged 13 My grandfather JOHN " aged 15 WALTER " aged 18 I found the children living with their parents in Hughes Fields, Deptford in 1881, nothing so far in 1891 except for JOHN in the Royal Navy. Alfred and John learnt to play musical instruments wherever they went to. Can anyone help of have you any suggstions were to check next. Regards

Hi Rita, is it possible they were mistranscribed on the 1891. Can you get someone to check on F or W instead of the V? Just a thought Selena

Looked on Ancestry for you. Found them in 1871 living in Rotherhithe with parents William and Elizabeth but can't find any of them in 1891. Janice

Think I've found Henry. Listed as age 9, place of birth unknown, but there are children born in Deptford above and below him in the listing.
