What happened to the orphans from Deptford? (2)

Rita, wish I could help but I can't. I am in a similar situation. Gt grandad from Deptford reputed to be an orphan born 1868, no trace of family before 1871 census and nothing on 1881, so assume parents were dead. If you get any clues please let me know. If I hear of anything for orphans in Deptford I will let you know, Selena

Can anyone suggest how I can find out what happened to my grandfather and his siblings after they were made orphans in 1889, they had been living at Queen Street, Deptford before their mother died. My grandfather used to tell my mother he came from Yorkshire, is this a clue, but how do I go about finding out. Many thanks to anyone who replies. Rita
