Hi I was brought up in Denbigh in the 1970s & 1980s, I remember that Glyndwr was the name of the district/ borough council. I think the towns/area it covered where: Denbigh, Ruthin and Corwen. For more info contact Denbighshire Record Office in Ruthin. Good luck, San

It was a district council which appears to have now gone (1996): "In almost all areas there was some alteration in boundaries, in many cases the former district has been split and the area merged with others e.g. Glyndwr D.C has been merged with Powys and Denbighshire. " It appears to be in the Chirk or Wrexham area.

I have found a death registered in Glyndwr in 1991 and search various maps but have found 2 or 3 different locations!!! Can anyone tell me where it is please? Thanks, Sarah
