Iv just discovered a link with Scotland,,,,and i dont know where to look,,!! The census just says 'scotland' although i have other info that says LEDWALT..Anybody out there a scottish genuis?

Hi claire, Just had a look in the atlas I keep by the computer can't find a place called Ledwalt, also did a google search and didn't get any matches. Are you sure you have the correct place, or have I got it wrong and Ledwalt is the name of the people you are looking for. Hi Claire All my family so far (apart from two) were born and lived in Scotland. Scotland's People is a great site. It is pay per view but relatively cheap for what you get IMHO. If your ancestor is on the Statutory Regs, then you can get an image of the original entry straight away. If not you can order it on the site. You could try using Family Search (IGI) first. I have gotten some good leads from that and then confirmed the information on Scotland's People. Who are you looking for and when? Lynne x

hi claire, live in scotland ive never heard of LEDWALT , could it maybe be LERWICK , just a suggestion , regards jackie.

HI CLAIRE I ALSO LIVE IN SCOTLAND AND THINK YOU MAY BE LOOKING FOR LESWALT LOCATED ABOUT 5 MLS NORTH OF STRANRAER IN DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY. HOPE THIS HELPS : )
