If you see census disks on Ebay and the seller is in Cinderford, Glos, this is Stepping Stones who produce the CDs. Beware of bidding up to more than the normal retail price.

Christine, What a good idea! I must admit that I am quite new to this family tree thing myself and although I have used ebay for other things, I never thought to use it for this purpose. Just been on, searched under 'genealogy' and found LOADS of stuff to bid on!! Thanks Sam

Hi Irene what Samantha says is correct. You'd be better trying somewhere like www.steppingstones.*co.uk or if you use Ebay you can usually find them on there. Christine

Hi Irene As far as I am aware, the Family Tree discs on sale in shops such as PC world are just programs to help you create and store your family tree. I don't think they will be any good for research. You can buy census discs and various other CD's that you can use for research but I have never seen any in PC World. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong! Sam
